The spectacular view into the distance from Elix, Mar-Bella Collection’s hill-top rooms and suites is to the islands of Corfu, Paxos and Antipaxos but closer to home lie the tempting sands and turquoise waters of Karavostasi beach. That picturesque beach can be reached by a short walk through the aromatic pines or by using the resort’s funicular railway – hugely popular on the way back as guests return to their private terraces and pools. Here, you can laze the days away by the Ionian Sea, with a beach bar on hand, or stay by the beautiful freshwater infinity pool, perhaps before a relaxing spa treatment. For those with more energy to burn, there are water sports, tennis and multi-sport courts, biking, hiking and a modern gym. Guests are also perfectly positioned to explore the Greek mainland or take an island excursion. Children tend to have plenty of energy too and they are well catered for, with a kids’ club and creche and also their own pool in the main complex.
